Hi, I’m EVE PETERS.
I’m not your average therapist.
Here’s what I’m bringing to the therapy room: three degrees (Stanford, UC Berkeley Law, Wright Institute); a prior career as a startup founder; a spiritual journey healing from autoimmune disease; and the mind-blowing, life-altering experience of becoming a mother, twice. Combine all of these, and you get a therapist with rigor, depth, and rare professional experience. I practice modern, evidence-based therapy, while drawing inspiration from Buddhism, Judaism, and the teachings of the great yogis.
I especially love helping people with relationship challenges, premarital/marital counseling, pregnancy and postpartum, heartbreak, life transitions, young adulting, DBT skills, and chronic illness/pain.
My practice is eclectic. Our sessions may incorporate psychodynamic therapy, DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), somatic therapy, IFS (internal family systems), meditation, breathwork, or yoga therapy, among other modalities. With couples, I draw from EFT (emotionally focused therapy), Gottman, and the wisdom of Esther Perel.
I’ll ask questions to discern your needs, preferences, and intentions for therapy, and we will be in an ever-evolving collaboration on our process together.

My Approach
While I am pragmatic and results-oriented in this work, what you will feel when we meet is that I am soft landing. A place to breathe deeply, discover your truth, and unload your burdens. The process of therapy will help you gain insight and awareness. Together, we will collaborate on effecting changes you want to make in yourself and your life.
I offer sessions three ways: online video, by phone, or in-person outdoors in Berkeley. I encourage you to try multiple approaches, as you may be surprised by which one allows you to experience therapy at its greatest depth.
FEES
I offer the following options for psychotherapy sessions. Normal sessions are 50 minutes long; please inquire for specialized pricing if you are seeking a longer session length. If you are not sure which option is best for you, I am happy to discuss with you during our consultation call.
